After my successful work on the explainer video for VYVGART, I was asked to provide some additional designs for Vyvgart Hytrulo, a new formulation of the medication for anti-AChR antibody positive generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).
Vyvgart Hytrulo is a subcutaneous injection, and so the company wanted to explain how the medication enters the interstitial tissues of the body and makes its way into the cells. I was asked to design:
A new character for the Hytrulo medication.
Some brief animation loops of the character swimming and pushing aside cells.
New body environments for the explainer scenes.
A few props and other assets for the explainer video.

Character Design:
The character was designed as a simple shape to match with the already established aesthetic of the animated explainer. The character is designed to resemble a skin diver carrying a mesh bag that contains the Vyvgart medication it will deliver.
I created this variation and pose sheet to give the clients some possible directions for the design.
Character Animation:
I was asked to make 2 brief animation loops using the character I had designed. The animation was done frame by frame in Photoshop.
One showing the character swimming as if in a scuba suit.
The Hytrulo works its way between the cells of the interstitial tissue, so we also needed several variations of pushing cells out of the way of the character as they swim along. These were designed to match up with the poses from the swimming animation.
Style Frame / Environment Designs:
I created new backgrounds of the cell matrix for the scenes of the Hytrulo swimming, as well as a few new poses and assets of the human character for other parts of the explainer video.
